Dylan Vos Quintet
Het Dylan Vos Quintet is een gloednieuw project van de 19 jarige jazz drummer uit Dordrecht. In dit project probeert Dylan de New Yorkse jazz scene en mentaliteit naar Nederland over te brengen. Dylan is enorm geïnspireerd geraakt door de New Yorkse jazz scene muzikanten als bijvoorbeeld Emmet Cohen en Kenny Garrett. De razendsnelle tempo’s, de ongekende energie en de virtuositeit dat is iets wat terugkomt in de standards die Dylan zelf heeft gearrangeerd. Wat dit quintet ook zo bijzonder maakt is de chemie tussen de muzikanten. Dylan is zelf 19 jaar en speelt met allemaal professionele muzikanten die al tientallen jaren werkzaam zijn in de Nederlandse jazz scene. Vanaf het moment dat ze spelen verbinden ze onmiddellijk met elkaar, dat is het mooie van jazz!

The Dylan Vos Quintet is a brand-new project by the 19-year-old jazz drummer from Dordrecht. In this project, Dylan attempts to bring the New York jazz scene and mentality to the Netherlands. Dylan has been greatly inspired by New York jazz scene musicians such as Emmet Cohen and Kenny Garrett. The lightning-fast tempos, the unprecedented energy, and the virtuosity are reflected in the standards that Dylan has arranged himself. What also makes this quintet so special is the chemistry between the musicians. Dylan is 19 years old himself and plays with professional musicians who have been active in the Dutch jazz scene for decades. From the moment they start playing, they connect immediately; that is the beauty of jazz!
